This is a return to form for SSW, back from the paper-drawn style of Page 63. After giving it a lot of thought, and after taking the advice of a few friends, I feel that the paper-drawn technique hasn’t quite reached the caliber needed for SSW. I will admit that drawing it by hand is more enjoyable, but truthfully, I’ve grown accustomed and even skilled in the “all-digital” method I’ve been using from the start.

I’ll be practicing the paper-drawn style on the side, but wont officially incorporate it into the main story, until I feel it will bring a higher level of artistic value to SSW, than my current method.

So! I just started reading today, and I gotta say, I’m VERY impressed. The story is fantastic and original, and the characters are dynamic and interesting (as well as attractive, which always helps ;) )
I think you’re a very good story-teller, and I’m excited to see more!

Ok after seeing this weeks post, I’m gonna have to say your techniques with Illustrator are a lot stronger than last weeks techniques. I’m thinking now instead of trying to start a new technique from scratch maybe just working to improve your current methods would be better.

This post is way nicer than last weeks. :]

I’m constantly working with Photoshop and Illustrator to find new techniques to raise the caliber of my art to a much higher place than it’s at currently. A sudden switch of techniques, i.e. starting from scratch, would definitely halt that progress.
