Cassandra Torrez was born at 2:20 P.M. on April 5th 2125. She was lived in Los Angeles much like most people who were eventually forced to leave California. With no money or family, she moved to the closest city and was forced to live on the streets and eventually had to resort to prostitution. However she mysteriously quit about one year ago.

Tomorrow Technologies was founded January 1, 2008 by Alek Bartrosouf. With generous investments, they skyrocketed to the top of their industry. In 2128, Christian Thomas, Father to Cassandra Thomas, became the new C.E.O. Not much else is known about the company other than it somehow saved most cities and countries from some kind of event. Also, the company is mysteriously hated by many private environmental groups.

At the dawn of the 22nd century, the frequency of radiological crises in the U.S. and around the world began to escalate at an alarming rate. On October 3, 2130 the U.S. government established The Radiological Intervention Organization of America or “RIO” (ree.ow), to aide in the extraction of European refugees into America. Based out of Vale, Colorado, they are officially defined as a non-military government organization. Yet, they are rumored to have more weapons technology at their disposal than any other branch of the military.

The Second Civil War left the country in shambles. Freelance Swordsman found their calling when the number of bounties skyrocketed. They train in the basic way of the Samurai. Then they go on a year-long spirit-walk to further hone their skills. After Amendment 37 was passed in the U.S., many Japanese Kenshi found an opportunity to exercise their skills. They move to the U.S., and make their living by collecting bounties.

In 2141 Amendment 37 to the U.S. constitution was ratified by congress, formally legalizing the use of bounties by civilians. The catalyst was the imminent collapse of the national metropolitan police system, following the Second Civil War.

Nevada was one of the states that came out of the Second Civil War, completely in shambles. Therefore Nevada, along with 17 other states, has fallen out of social, economic, and financial progress.

Many states opposed the governments implemented measures, of the acceptance of refugees from Europe, as a result of nuclear fallout. This consisted of over 100 million refugees from France, Germany, and it’s surrounding areas, moving into already overpopulated cities along the rocky mountains and the east coast areas.

After years of failed policies and negotiations within the Senate, the Union entered it’s second civil war on December 4th, 2135. The war began cold, but things quickly escalated when West Virginia citizens stormed capitol hill, in the most violent and hostile riot known in U.S. history. Violence ensued en-mass all over the country.

Finally on June 7th, 2141 the war ended after a devastating attack on California…
